I kept wandering into the kitchen and looking for something to eat. I wasn’t satisfied, but I couldn’t figure out what I wanted. Jared has defrosted a bag of chicken wings and they leaked all over the fridge. When he took the bag out to clean up the mess, I suggested he just cook the wings tonight.

And that was how my craving prayers got answered!

Jared baked the plain wings for 30 minutes at 375 degrees. Then he moved the wings to the top rack and broiled them for 10 minutes, remembering to keep the oven door ajar. He flipped them and then broiled them for 5 more minutes. Once the cooking was complete, he tossed them in Buffalo sauce and the wings were ready to go.

I made my own sauce by mixing plain Oikos with Blue Cheese crumbles. Instead of dipping my wings, I just smothered them. I’ve blogged about not being able to handle spicy foods so I hoped this new method would make the wings easier to eat.

Nope. I was still chugging water between bites. I didn’t eat all of the Oikos sauce, even though that would’ve been ok cuz Greek yogurt is so good for you.

Someone thought I needed to be completely honest with my readers and show you guys just how messy I got while eating my 4 little wings. I managed to wipe my fingers but I didn’t get a chance to clean my face before Jared got the camera out.

I kept breakfast quick and simple this morning by having a bowl of Cinnamon Puffins.

This is my Friday Morning Face. Guzzling coffee on the drive to work.

I brought some Newman’s Own Organics organic apples to snack on at work.

Here are some dried apple slices and my Excel spreadsheet of blogs to read. I can be a little bit obnoxious when it comes to organization! Haha.

I had a webinar from 12-1:30 so I ate my lunch during that time. No photos; don’t wanna scare the coworkers. I had a bowl of Chicken and Rice soup from HealthWorks and Vanilla Oikos with the last of the packet of Justin’s Maple Almond Butter I opened yesterday. Mmmm hmmm!

Healthy sugar high = Newman’s Own Organics Peanut Butter Cups. I’ve always been a fan of Reese’s and these were very similar, but tasted much more like real food.

Here’s my Friday Afternoon Face. Really psyched to be starting the weekend in 3 hours.

I’m hoping to post about dinner, but I may not have time. Jared and I are going to Cambridge to see the movie Brief Interviews With Hideous Men. John Krasinski will be there to give an intro to the film since he directed it. I am a huge fan of his character Jim on The Office so I’m really looking forward to this. Hopefully there will be a few good pictures to post!

Happy Guy Fawkes Day to those in England! (I know G. Fawkes best as the mask from V for Vendetta and as the mascot for the anti-Scientology group that always prostests on Beacon Street)

Maybe I’ll hold a fake celebration in my backyard and light a fire in my fire pit!

The star of this morning’s breakfast was Pumpkin Butter I got from Trader Joe’s last night. The label featured several recommendations including mixing it with cream cheese. I decided to give that a try!

This Pumpkin Butter has the absolute ideal pumpkin flavor. I loved blending it with the smooth cream cheese. SO delicious!

I had to go to campus for a meeting. It was a gray and chilly morning at Boston College.

Autumn leaves and a nice view of the Heights.

I made a yogurt/almond butter blend for part of my lunch. Justin’s Natural Maple Almond Butter was perfect to add to a container of Vanilla Oikos. In honor of Peanutbutter Fingers, I took a taste of this AB before mixing. Amazing! And was a great compliment to the tangy vanilla Oikos flavoring. 2 for 2 in meals today! (So so so glad I got to sample this AB. Where is it sold???)

Intense photography concentration. I need to iron a bunch of pairs of work pants so I’ve been wearing a lot of skirts and dresses in the meantime. Colorful sweaters help to lighten the mood on dreary days!

I’m feeling overwhelmed with blog/Examiner.com work that I want to do. Hopefully I’ll have some extra time tonight after cleaning the apartment (it gets so messy so fast), making dinner, and watching the Office. Uh oh, I should take my lunch break now so I can hit the gym!

Here’s my Oatmeal Breakfast Cookie as it appeared last night before I put it in the fridge. It contains:

1/2 cup of oatmeal

2 tablespoons of peanut butter

1 tablespoon of brown sugar

1 tablespoon of blueberry flax seed

1 banana

sprinkle of cinnamon

splash of milk

This morning I added a spoonful of plain Chobani and a spoonful of pumpkin. Before I ate this, I mixed the 2 toppings together and spread them across the top. It was weird to eat cold oatmeal, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I liked having breakfast already prepared so I could grab it as soon as I got out of the shower. Cold oats were a nice change from hot oatmeal, and still very filling. I should’ve made this during the summer when I needed a hearty breakfast but wanted something from the fridge.

I entered the Coffee Amnesty giveaway and chose the same blend as Jared. We opened our second bag of Jamaican Me Crazy this morning. I measured 1 tablespoon of powdered creamer, plus 1 packet of truvia, to sweeten it. I am slowly moving away from heavily sweetened coffee. It tastes much better when I let the real flavors shine through!

Apparently photographing today’s outfit required deep concentration. Haha. I am wearing my Tory Burch flats that are a size too small. It’s been almost a year since I bought these and I am still mad at myself for getting the wrong size for all that $$$. Whenever I wear these shoes to work, I stretch them on the arms of my chair so that they won’t hurt my feet.

Here are 3 super cute buttons that I picked up from the Vegan Treats table at the Boston Vegetarian Food Festival. I dug through the container of pins and took ones that featured the all mighty Cupcake!

Today is the last day to enter my Oikos Coupon Giveaway!

On Sunday morning
You sure have changed since yesterday
Without any warning
I thought I knew you
I thought I knew you
I thought I knew you well. . . so well (Love No Doubt)

I had a cup of Jamaican Me Crazy coffee when I woke up this morning. Thanks to Daylight Savings, I was able to sleep in, yet it seemed like I was up and at ‘em since it was only 8:30 am.

Breakfast was a mini whole grain bagel with cream cheese and strawberry jelly. I accidentally toasted my bagel for too long so it was extra crispy.

It was a lazy Sunday so I showered just before lunchtime. I made a sandwich on my last Arnold Thin using hummus, carrot bits, and some Laughing Cow cheese.

That didn’t fill me up for very long. I had a VitaMuffin, nuked to perfection and 1/2 of these candy pumpkins. Jared ate the rest. (Any attentive readers notice the hidden message? I’m such a geek!)

We took the T to Roxbury Crossing to go to the Boston Vegetarian Food Festival. It was SO crowded. We tried a bunch of samples and I took pictures with my camera. I’ll update tomorrow when I get my USB cable!

We went to Shaws after the Veg Fest. I was so happy to get home and have a huge glass of water with fresh lemon slices. So refreshing!

I used the coupons Stonyfield sent to me to buy Oikos Greek yogurt. Can’t wait to give this a try tomorrow.

Jared was craving pizza for dinner so we ordered NY style pizza from Bostone Pizza. We ordered a large (takes 2 boxes), but a small would’ve been plenty.

My 1/2 of the pizza featured chicken, artichokes, and broccoli.; I’m going to be eating leftovers all week! Plus a Harvest Moon beer. These aren’t my favorite, but there are a few more left in the fridge and I want to get rid of them.

Mmm, dessert! Jared and I split a piece of vegan carrot cake from Vegan Treats Bakery. I wish they were located in Boston so I could try more of their desserts. This was SO good.
