I was ready for lunch by noon. I tried a sample of Yogi walnut spice crunch cereal I had gotten from HealthWorks a few months ago.

I blended the cereal into a container of strawberry Chobani. Mmm! I don’t know why I’d been saving this sample for over a month. This cereal is a little high in calories, but so tasty.

I brought a book to the gym and read for 25 minutes while I pedaled on the recumbent bike. I used the foam roller and then sat in the sauna for 15 minutes.

I was soooo hungry after the gym so I bought a salad from HealthWorks and ate it while doing some file cleaning with my fellow employees.

When I got home from work, I made a turkey sandwich. Lunch meat goes bad so quickly. Our bag will be bad by Sunday so that means 1 or 2 more sandwiches. I made my sandwich on a wheat Arnold Thin and added American cheese, lettuce, and a pickle. I ate baby carrots and yellow corn Food Should Taste Good chips on the side.

I hit the gym for 30 minutes of pedaling on the recumbent bike. While I worked out, I read Eat Pray Love.

I’m really liking this book, though I’m still in the first of three sections. I can’t wait to finish and give it my full review. Also can’t wait to watch the movie version when it is released, and read Elizabeth Gilbert’s latest book Committed.

I LOVE to read and I’m trying to get out of my bad habit of reading too many books at once. Right now I have bookmarks in The Bourne Identity, Fear of Wine, and a biography of Marie Antoinette. I resolved to read one book per month during 2010 and I really want to do that with only one book at a time! Even though I can keep up with the plots of multiple books, I lose appreciation when I tackle too many at once.

I sat in the sauna for 10 minutes before getting ready to go back to work. Even though I’ve only been back to my sauna routine for 2 days, I’m already noticing an improvement in my complexion!

I snacked on a Clementine and some Food Should Taste Good yellow corn chips. 2 for 2, last night’s and today’s Clementines didn’t have seeds. I guess I bought the right box!

Even though there’s a fridge full of groceries, I didn’t feel like cooking. Plus I can’t remember the last time I ate a fresh turkey sandwich. I shoved turkey, American cheese, pickles, and lettuce in between slices of an Arnold Thin. Always needing a crunch on the side, I had more yellow corn chips.

Then Don’t Fix It!

My soup and grilled cheese was so tasty that I knew it would be on the menu again today. I wasn’t in the mood to mess with a good thing!

But first, there was breakfast…

I had a bowl of Special K with Red Berries.

I would love to follow the Special K diet mainly because I would be thrilled to eat several bowls of Special K every day. Specifically the kind with Red Berries. I don’t know what it is about those freeze dried strawberries that I like so much.

Even though I still have a cold, it’s so much more bearable today. I have a slightly stuffy nose. Feeling better, but still being lazy, I wore my glasses to work and the same pair of pants I wore yesterday. Just being completely honest with you guys. (And I really need to get a stronger prescription for my glasses because I can’t see very well!)

I made a cup of chai from the office coffee machine. I normally avoid the machine like the plague because the coffee packets are NOT good. But the chai actually had a decent spicy flavor and drinking something warm made me feel better.

The moment I’d been waiting for finally arrived: Lunch! The only difference from yesterday’s meal was that today my grilled cheese was on a wheat Arnold Thin. Thank you Jared for going grocery shopping last night!

Plus I found a packet of oyster crackers in my desk so I added it to my tomato soup. With a high of 29 degrees in Boston and my space heater on full blast, this was the perfect meal!
