Yesterday I ran in Harpoon Brewery‘s 5-mile race!

This was my 3rd year in a row running.  Harpoon’s race is so much fun and I wouldn’t miss it for anything.

This year’s race outfit!  My 6 pack team decided to run as Captain Planet and the “Planetbeers.”

I’m always happy that the boyfriend and I run together.  Jared is my favorite running partner.

Our Power Ring pops served as sweet treats throughout the race.

Ahh, somehow we lost 2 of our team members in the crowd at the starting line.

At 10 am, the race began and we were off on a 5-mile run.

Lots of great sights running through South Boston.

The course took us out to Castle Island and then back to Harpoon Brewery.

The 5 miles passed quickly, and Jared and I had fun running together.

The course offered some great views of the water.

It was cool and overcast, perfect running weather.

I see the Finish Line!  (Jared and I finished around the 45 minute mark.  Since we didn’t have a goal time in mind, I was pleased with that number.)

After each team member finished, we gathered together for a team picture.  Hooray for Captain Planet and the Planetbeers!

Time to break out the beer tickets.  I received 3 beer tickets for signing up for the race.  I decided to start off with a Raspberry UFO.

Raspberry UFO is really sweet.  Halfway through my 2nd glass, I gave up and had to dump it.  I used my final ticket for a UFO White.

As the runners mingled, drank, and let loose, a dance party broke out in the main tent.  Runners know how to have fun!  My teammate Mark decided to remove his blue face paint so could look like a normal person rather than a giant blue super hero.

3 beers and it was time to go.  Another year of fun at the Harpoon 5-miler!
