Sunday’s weather wasn’t as warm as it was on the real St. Patrick’s Day. But it was still a nice sunny day to celebrate and attend the South Boston St. Patrick’s Day parade.
Jared and I walked to Southie from our South End apartment. As we crossed the West 4th bridge, we saw groups assembling for the parade. It was fun to walk through and get a sneak preview before the parade started.
{Green Tesla}
{Fancy Schmancy Decorations}
{It’s Southie: there’s a line outside the liquor store}
{Big-ass Horses}
{Star Wars regiment}
{I pity the fool…}
{Duck Boat filled with Celtics dancers}
{Playing the pipes}
{I don’t want no one Minuteman}
Halfway through the parade, we got hungry and cold and decided to head back to the house. It was time for the party to begin! Drinks, snacks, and game! Beer pong!
{No need for a re-rack just yet}
{Handsome}
Miles and I stayed safely away from the action. I enjoyed a solitary can of Guinness and hung out with my favorite corgi. I’m a little bit disappointed that I didn’t have any green beer. But after my Guinness, I had a delicious glass of Rioja and in my mind, wine will always trump beer.
The games continued, but I got cold so I went inside to warm up by the fire place and hang out with the 3 dogs.
Hoagie, Weber, and Miles enjoyed the shenanigans.
It wouldn’t be a party without a delicious meal. Homemade burgers with toppings and a giant Caesar salad.
I had lots of fun celebrating St. Patrick’s Day for the 2nd time.

The parade looks like fun. We have parades here for festivals and it is always a good time.
