Maybe Tomorrow

Tomorrow is my birthday. Tomorrow I’ll be 27 years old. Maybe tomorrow I’ll feel like a grownup? Maybe tomorrow I’ll be comfortable with my body? Maybe I’ll wake up and my zits will be gone? Maybe I’ll find a job that inspires me? Maybe I’ll learn self-discipline so I can train for a marathon? Maybe I’ll be responsible [...]

Sugar, Oh Honey Honey

From Bee to Bottle to YOU Honey starts as flower nectar. Flower nectar is collected by bees.  It is naturally broken down into simple sugars and then stored in honeycombs. The honey comb design combined with constant fanning by the bees’ wings causes evaporation, and ultimately creates the thicker, sweeter liquid: Honey! Honey color and [...]

Starving Artist

I had the day off today and I spent all of my time at home.  Living the life I imagine for myself when I think of a career as a Starving Artist. I started my day (at 9:30 am, maybe 10 am…not an early morning) with a bowl of plain Special K cereal. I gazed [...]

Sausage Making

Last week, I hung out at a friend’s house and watched him make his own sausage. From scratch: Meat grinding, casing, and all. It was gross. So obviously I took lots of photos. Before the food prep began, we snacked on fresh mozzarella and tomatoes topped with freshly picked basil. Glad I filled my stomach [...]

Keuka Lake Wine Trail

I love wine tasting! This weekend we spent some time touring on the Keuka Lake Wine Trail. Keuka Lake in one of 11 Finger Lakes in western New York.  The Finger Lakes also include Canadaigua Lake, Seneca Lake, and Cayuga Lake.  Keuka Lake is in the shape of the letter Y.  There are 4 vineyards [...]

3-2-1

3 mile jog… 2 vineyards… 1 wedding… It’s been a great weekend at Keuka Lake.  And there’s still one night left to relax!

Here We Go Again

Another wedding weekend… This time I’m off to Keuka Lake in New York. (Miles is coming along for the trip!  He’s very excited!) I’m looking forward to a few training runs for my Half Marathon and some wine tasting.  Plus the weather will be cool enough to finally wear my new leather jacket.

Fantasy Football Draft

Grrrr!  Corgis Who Bite!!! (It drives me CRAZY that my team name is grammatically incorrect.  It should read Corgis That Bite, but it was too many characters to fit in the Team Name section) I got ready for our Fantasy Football draft by designing my team’s poster.  I love my snarling, snapping corgi! At 6 [...]

Mount Monadnock

I worked hard on Labor Day. My parents, Jared, and I hiked Mount Monadnock in New Hampshire.  It was so much fun, and SO much work.  Beautiful scenery, steep trails, and tired feet when the hike was finally over. Mount Monadnock is an hour and a half away from Boston.  A very short drive to [...]

Dressed Up to Dine Out

I got dressed up to go out for dinner and drinks on Friday night. We went to dinner at Tremont 647 and then grabbed drinks at Alibi. I wore a grey tank top with a large ruffle around the collar and a pair of faded black jeans. Since my outfit was more casual because of [...]
