The land of Oprah Winfrey, Barack Obama, and the deep dish pizza…
Becky and I left Providence, RI on Thursday afternoon to head to the Windy City and spend the weekend at the Healthy Living Summit. Our flight was delayed, but it didn’t put a damper on our vacation. We entertained ourselves, talking, grabbing lunch, and reading magazines.
We might’ve annoyed the guy sitting beside us by chatting nonstop about weddings, running, blogging, and even PMS.
I actually saw him blocking his ears so he wouldn’t have to listen to us.
We checked into the Congress Hotel, one of Chicago’s top 10 Haunted Locations. Al Capone is said to haunt the hotel and paranormal activity is often reported. Yikes!
It didn’t take too long before we were off and running. Ready to explore Chicago!
Becky and I ran into a few challenges on our walk to Navy Pier. Including getting stuck in a condo complex and having to ask for help to find our way out. We were sweating profusely (Chicago was HOT) and really needed a meal and a cold glass of water.

Wow I love all of your pictures. Chicago is SUCH a gorgeous city! It looks like you had fun. I love that the guy was blocking his ears because you were talking too much. It’s a plane, talking is allowed. He should’ve brought headphones! haha

GAHHHHH, I so wish I could have been there with you! I ended up working every day but one this past week so I would have been too exhausted for all that walking anyway! Glad you enjoyed my hometown!!
