A Blog Dedicated to Living a Healthy Lifestyle

My Friday

Wednesdays are my Friday.  I woke up knowing I only had to make it through 6 hours of work before I could start my 3 day weekend.  So exciting that every weekend will be a 3 day weekend.  Thursday-Saturday with nothing to do! :)

Yogurt Breakfast

I had a delicious breakfast.  I added fresh strawberries to strawberry Chobani.  Plus Barney Butter.  When I have a jar in the house, I can’t resist!

My workday included a delicious salad loaded with fresh vegetables and a trip to Legacy Place in Dedham, MA to drop off flyers at lululemon and lucy.  Okkk, so some minor shopping also occurred.  There’s no way I can walk away from a sale at lululemon! ;)

Stuffed artichoke

Our friends Drew and Nicki invited us to eat dinner at their apartment.  Nicki is a great cook!  Jared and I shared a stuffed artichoke.  My first real artichoke that I had to peel.  It was so tasty, especially the cheese and olive stuffing.

Baked Pasta

Nicki also made a baked pasta dish.  It had mushrooms, which I don’t usually eat.  But I devoured tonight’s meal without a second thought.  Nicki really is a great cook, especially when it comes to vegetarian dishes!

I thought about running this evening, but decided against it.  I have plenty of time during the rest of week #2 of training to complete each of the scheduled runs.  So as usual, I’m switching things up a bit!  Thank you for the support after my crappy, crampy run and my tough decision to skip out on cheerleading.  Melissa was on-point when she commented that it seems like I enjoy cheerleading more than I like running.  However running is MUCH easier to fit into my schedule and I am really committed to running this marathon.  So for summer/fall 2010, I’ll be pounding the pavement and/or treadmill until I can accomplish my 26.2 mile goal. :)

I’m looking forward to waking up at the crack of dawn tomorrow morning so I can wait in line at the Apple Store and purchase my new i-phone.  The first time I’ll own a phone with internet!  Then my mom and cousin Jenna are coming to spend the day in Boston.
