It was so nice to wake up in my childhood bedroom on Friday morning. I added fresh strawberries to a container of vanilla Chobani for breakfast.
I spent the morning running errands: Target, the craft store, and the vet. Some things are much easier to accomplish when I’m outside of the city! I can drive, the stores are bigger and more spread out, everything is less crowded and less expensive.

I was starving when I finished my errands. I microwaved a veggie burger for lunch. I topped it with cheese, cucumbers, and salsa. I also had more cukes on the side.
I had a piece of blueberry rhubarb pie for dessert, but was distracted with laundry and didn’t snap a photo.

My parents’ have a huge yard, but their garden is in pots on the deck.

Even though they didn’t plant a lot this year, they’ll still be enjoying some tasty fruits and vegetables.

There were a few ripe red strawberries.

The tomatoes still need more time to grow.

Miles loves visiting!
But he was excited to head back to Boston. I thought about going for a run but then I skipped any exercise cuz I was still tired from NYC the day before. I packed the car so Miles and I could head to our other Home Sweet Home.

Jared and I had dinner with our friends Drew and Nicki.

I ate 2 slices of pizza and salad with Nicki’s Chobani dressing. Yum!
The four of us worked to create team t-shirts for our run. We are running in Harpoon Brewery‘s 5 mile race! I ironed our designs on the front and back of 6 t-shirts for our group of friends. It was a lot of work to make each shirt, but Drew did an awesome job using Photo Shop to create the graphic and the t-shirts look great.
