The Old Ball Game

Fenway Park

There’s no better way to spend a Saturday than out at the old ball game.

My Saturday started off slow.  I didn’t take a photo of breakfast so that means I probably just ate cereal.

Watermelon Lemonade

After errands and getting stuff done around the house, it was time for lunch.  I enjoyed a Watermelon Lemonade.

Caprese Salad w/ Chicken

I also ate a Caprese Salad with chicken.

Fenway Park

By 6 pm, it was time for baseball.  We walked to Fenway Park.  Good old fashioned exercise before some unhealthy stadium food beers.

Fenway Park

The Red Sox were playing Kansas City and after losing the night before, I was crossing my fingers that they’d be able to pull off a win tonight.

Sunset at Fenway Park

It was so nice to watch the sun set behind the Coca Cola sign at Fenway.

Singing Sweet Caroline

The game was really slow.  I had the most fun when classic Boston songs came on, especially “Sweet Caroline.”  Jared channeled his inner Neil Diamond.

Love and Baseball

The Red Sox won, 1-0.

Hotdogs from the Lower Depths

After the game, we headed to the Lower Depths for $1 hot dogs.  There was no reason to pay outrageous Fenway prices when there was cheap stuff right down the street.  I ate 3/4 of a hot dog with ketchup and onions.

Exercise has been notably absent from my Memorial Day weekend.

I was too busy having fun from Friday night through Monday to worry too much about it.  I planned to go running this morning but that didn’t happen.  Oh well!  I have my Marathon training plan set to unveil later this week, and some workouts on my agenda from now until June 14th when my training officially begins.

I had no idea Lower Depths had $1 hot dogs!! I never eat them UNLESS I’m at a game, but this is very good to know.
