When Allergies Attack

My allergies totally destroyed my appetite.  I never even felt hungry today.  I just ate because I knew I needed to.

Pineapple Chobani

I ate a container of pineapple Chobani for lunch.

Pineapple Chobani

Mmmm.  I think I liked it a lot.  But when my nose isn’t super stuffy, I’ll have to do a better flavor taste test.

I was really hoping my gym time would help make me feel better.  Wrong!

20 minutes on the Stairmaster sucked.  I had a pounding headache the entire time.  I sat in the sauna for about 10 minutes, still no allergy relief.  Ehhh, allergies are the worst.  I bought some medication at CVS so I’ll be back at ‘em tomorrow.  Once my body adjusts to the change in the weather and pollen count, things will be better.

My Outfit

I wore the same dress I wore to Easter Brunch at work today.  80+ degrees was perfect for a spring dress.

I paired it with a darker pair of ballet flats and buttoned/belted my cardigan.  I always feel better when I wear an outfit a few times before washing it.  (As long as it’s not dirty or stinky, obviously! Haha.)  I guess I feel like it justifies the wear and tear of putting an item through the wash if I know I made good use of it.

Trail Mix

Trail mix for an afternoon snack.

When I got home from work, I decided to close my eyes for a minute.  Two hours later…  I guess my body needed to get some rest.

Special K cereal

I was indecisive about dinner and just grabbed a bowl of Special K with Red Berries.

Banana with Maple Almond PB

I also ate a banana with some Maple Almond Butter.  I wish I had used Barney Butter instead.  The maple AB was too thick and chewy.  I would’ve preferred a creamy nut butter spread on the banana.  Live and learn. ;)

Allergy season is the worst! We usually go to Ireland every May, and its amazing how much better we instantly feel there. Too humid/rainy to have pollen floating around! Anyway, I recommend a Neti pot, it is a magical way to cleanse your sinues! :)

I am just *waiting* for my allergies to attack. Definitely not fun times. Also, I rewear a lot of things several times before washing. We’re in a recession, ya know? :) Plus you just have to wear a cute black & white combo like that more than once before it disappears into your laundry basket!

I feel your pain. It’s hayfever season right now in Japan and it’s made life much less fun for the past month or so.

Oh no, hope you feel better soon. Allergies are so irritating! I always try to wear clothes at least twice before I wash them as I think washing them too much is bad for the fibre…..I’m so weird!

Allergies suck. Pollen was super high yesterday, like in the red danger zone (according to channel 7). Mine haven’t fully kicked in, but I’ve been sneezing up a storm.
I alwasy wait a few times before washing certain items, or taking certain items to the dry cleaners. I mean, you put clothes on after you shower so you are clean! As long as nothing tragic happens, like you fall in a puddle or drop a meatball in your lap, it’s totally fine!

I hope you feel better :( I haven’t been hit by allergies yet this season. But I opened the windows yesterday to enjoy the beautiful weather and within 5 minutes, my cat started sneezing! The poor guy couldn’t stop. So I reluctantly shut the window and he eventually stopped sneezing.

Get some meds in you and feel better! So far I’ve been lucky – I haven’t inherited my mom’s allergies… I work at a summer camp though and I’m really allergic to something there (mold?)
    Hope today is better.

Ugh, I woke up this morning and my allergies are killing me. Hopefully the nose spray I have at home will help.
