Like my favorite quote from 13 Going on 30, “Thirty and flirty and THRIVING!”

Men's thriv t-shirt

Male readers can win this nice workout t-shirt.

Women's thriv t-shirt

And female readers have the chance to win this pretty piece of workout gear. :)

The deadline for this giveaway is Sunday, May 2nd.  I will be picking a winner on Sunday afternoon, after I finish running my 2nd Half Marathon.

I’m hoping to make steady progress with my running.  I ran my 1st Half Marathon in 2:05 and my goal is to finish the 2nd one in under 2 hours.  I’m nervous so send good vibes my way!  When I announce the winner on Sunday afternoon, I’ll let you know if I was successful!

“Thirty and flirty and THRIVING.”  (only kidding for now, I’m 26 years old.) :P

First of all, you are AMAZING for doing a half marathon (again) and I can’t wait to get there. Right now it’s a huge thing for me to be registering for a 5K in September…

Secondly, I LOVE the Thriv stuff I have now and I’d love to add to the collection! I’m trying to grow as a person, to thrive, by getting and staying as healthy as possible, and by participating in Fitarella’s What-If challenge! (http://skinnysushi.com/2010/04/22/what-if/)

I’m making an effort to make a workout schedule each week and stick to it! Too many days, I skip the strength training in favor of solely cardio.

Just found your blog recently and it’s great! Good luck on your new ventures (whatever they may be). :)

I need some cute workout shirts!

How am I growing as a person? I think setting little challenges for myself and completing them. And the fact that I made it through another crazy semester of school and managed to surprise myself with how well I did. And that I’m beginning to see myself as a healthy person…not just a fat girl trying to think skinny. ;)

Good luck with the half marathon!!
To grow as a person, I’m trying to be more GRATEFUL – to focus on the things I have, and not on the things I don’t have.

What a GREAT give-a-way! Honestly, I am trying to be less selfish. I can get into the ruts where it is all about me and that hinders me (and anyone around me) from thriving…so that has been a goal of mine and I feel like I am truly working on it!

You are going to be AWESOME in the half marathon I know it.
I do think I’m thriving- I feel like I know myself so much better than I did when I was younger and I am about to challenge and push myself every day whether it be at work, at the gym or in my personal relationships. I think the mid twenties are an awesome time- not at 30 yet though :)

I’m turning 30 this year, just had my 2nd child 8 months ago, and am feeling better than ever. I am striving for good health through a balanced lifestyle. I’m going to run my first race, a 5 km run the end of May!! I have also started a zumba class and am enjoying preparing healthy, basic, un-processed foods. I feel better than I did in my early twenties, as I feel that I am really getting comfortable in my own skin ( even tho it is a little bit lumpier after 2 babies ;-) )
Best of luck to you at your 1/2 marathon!

Haha! Love that movie and that quote. And how awesome that your 2nd half is almost here. I just know you will accomplish your goals with it. But I will still be sure to send positive vibes your way. :)

And how am I thriving and growing? I think having to be patient with our trying to conceive experience has helped me grow a lot. I have had to have more faith and it also has taught me so many lessons about myself.

Ha! I actually AM 30, Flirty, and Thriving this year! (just turned 30). :) How am I thriving? I decided not to spend my 30′s the same way I spent the last part of my 20′s. So I am starting to learn the right way to treat my body (with food/working out. It’s not always easy but so far so good. :)

Good Luck with the 1/2. I would LOVE to finish one in 2 hours but right now I am just lucky to finish period! :)

I am thriving by making wonderful changes to my life. After 20 years of being a vegetarian I have gone vegan recently. In addition, I have completely ramped up my work-outs – running more frequently, longer and faster – with an ultimate goal of participating in a 1/2 marathon sometime this year! I have also decided to forgo putting anything in my body that has ingredients I can’t pronounce!

Your blog, among others, has truly inspired me to reach for goals that I previously thought were unattainable. Just because I have hit the big 4-0 (plus 1, ha ha) doesn’t mean I can’t continue to be young, active, fit and the best ME I can be!

    Thanks for the giveaway!

    Johnna :)

I ran a 5k today. Before January 1st, I had never run in a race, and more importantly, I didn’t think I could. Today I finished my third race. I actually felt good at the end. That is how I’m thriving.
