My cousin Becky is visiting! She’ staying over tonight and running the BAA 5K in the morning.

We walked the the Sports and Fitness Expo to pick up our race numbers.

Registration and t-shirt pick up!

Odwalla samples, and a fun employee who wanted to be featured on the blog.

Mmm, loved the Odwalla smoothie sample.

Here’s some info from their web site: “The Hall Steps Foundation aims to empower the running community to use the energy and resources that fuel runners’ athletic achievements for social justice efforts. Currently in its first year of operation, the Steps Foundation funds initiatives that tackle structural causes of poverty such as chronic lack of access to basic entitlements including clean water, shelter and physical security.”
Really interesting and I’m hoping to become more involved!

The Sports and Fitness Expo was SO crowded. We had to fight our way through the people to browse and grab samples.
I ran into my former coworker Mary and was able to wish her luck on Monday. I hope I can find her somewhere along the route to shout and cheer as she goes by!
(A lot of vendors wished Becky and me luck. We must’ve looked like marathon runners, but no…just participating in tomorrow’s 5K. But Becky and I have goals to complete a full marathon by the end of 2010.)

Becky searching for Bondi Bands.

Clif Bar samples. The Rocks, one of their newest products, are post-workout protein snacks and they’re really tasty!

Disney medals!
The Wine and Dine Half Marathon medal wasn’t featured because the race is brand new. I wonder what type of bling I’ll earn after completely the race?!?!

Becky and I had so much fun browsing and shopping for running gear.

I came home with tons of free samples, lots of papers and info, a running belt, 2 new Bondi Bands, and a poster I created for the Boston Bloggers who are running in Monday’s race, especially Meghan and Patricia.

[...] My “lunch” wasn’t very filling so I decided to have a hearty snack. I grabbed a granola sample leftover from last weekend’s Sports and Fitness Expo. [...]
