When I was 6 years old, my parents bought 2 kittens for my brother and me. I named mine Mittens and his was Kitty. Mittens passed away in 2003 but Kitty kept on trucking.

Yesterday Kitty passed away. She was OLD, she lived 20 great years, and it was her time. But it’s still sad to lose a pet.

I’ll miss my old kitten.
I didn’t get the news about Miss Kitty until last night. So let’s take a step back to Sunday morning…

Yeahhh, I totally ate 3 mini-cupcakes for breakfast.
Actually, no, I’m not ashamed. They were SO good! Definitely the perfect way to start my day.

Leftover pork for lunch.

We spent the afternoon doing yard work. It still looks like a pit, but we cleaned SO much. And you won’t believe that this yard looked 10 times worse when we moved in almost a year ago. It’s in serious need of some TLC. Right now we’re waiting to hear if we can renew the lease before we put any money into it.
I raked up hay and mulch and trimmed a giant holly bush that had taken over the left side of the yard.

After so much hard work in the yard, I wanted a simple dinner. I ate a turkey wrap and a small serving of chips.

Plus a bowl of cookie dough ice cream while we watched the movie Moon about a man who is ending his 3 year contract working on the moon, and just as his time is up, things start getting weird.

Doing outdoor chores is definitely exhausting!

So sorry about your kitty cat. It sounds like she must have been very loved!
Yard work is most definitely tiring. I’m going to visit my parents this weekend and will probably get roped into it. Its definitely nice to have that accomplished feeling after, though!

aw im sorry about you cat. I feel you. we had two cats growing up too who are both gone. One cat was named Kiwi. (No not after the fruit, kiwi was how i pronounced “kitty” so my parents went with it.) also you have a huge yard for city living! I’m kinda jealous

I was very upset to hear the sad news about Kitty. Your father, who seems to be in a great deal of distress, sent me a facebook message. Kitty was a great cat, and I’m sure Natasha will miss his sister greatly. Let us know when the funeral is, I would like to offer my condolences.
