I had the longest staff meeting this morning/afternoon and ended up eating 2 slices of pizza that my boss provided for the crew. So my half-ass version of Ants on a Log was a healthy afternoon snack after a greasy lunch.
I didn’t have a lot of time for a “lunch break” so I quickly hit the treadmill for a 20 minute interval run.
- 0-1 minute: Run at 6.5 mph
- 1-2: Run at 6.6 mph
- 2-3: Run at 6.7 mph
- 3-4: Run at 6.8 mph
- 4-5: Run at 6.9 mph
- 5-6: Run at 7.0 mph
- 6-7: Run at 6.9 mph
- 7-8: Run at 6.8 mph
- 8-9: Run at 6.7 mph
- 9-10: Run at 6.6 mph
- 10-11: Run at 6.5 mph
- 11-12: Run at 6.6 mph
- 12-13: Run at 6.7 mph
- 13-14: Run at 6.8 mph
- 14-15: Run at 6.9 mph
- 15-16: Run at 7.0 mph
- 16-17: Run at 6.9 mph
- 17-18: Run at 6.8 mph
- 18-19: Run at 6.7 mph
- 19-20: Run at 6.6 mph
- 20-23: Walk at 4.0 mph
The funny thing about this interval run was that the slower speeds were actually more difficult for me. I felt better when I was running a little bit faster. I think 6.8 mph was my ideal speed. Combing all of the running and walking, I covered just about 2 1/2 miles in 23 minutes.

Not knowing we’d be getting lunch, I had packed the most delicious salad. I couldn’t force myself to save it for tomorrow so I ate it for dinner tonight. I mixed spinach, cucumbers, corn and carrots with salsa as dressing. I topped the salad with some pulled pork from Don Otto’s.

It’s the End of the Beginning…
I ate my last Vitalicious Vitatop, slathered with Justin’s Maple Almond Butter. Vitalicious sent my first food sample several months ago when I was just getting into blogging. I was so grateful that a company believed in my blog enough to let me try their products. I’ve loved trying lots of flavors of Vitatops and now I need to make a trip to the grocery store.

The perfect Tuesday night? Snuggled on the couch with a bottle of Crios! Crios is a great value brand and I love their Malbec.

Someone is ready for some serous TV watching.

I have the same problem when I do interval workouts like yours – the slower miles are often harder for me, too. Weird.

I love Vitas, but they’re so expensive!! Awesome that you got enough free loot to keep you stocked for this long!

I love vitatops. I’ve been eating them for years now, ever since my second stint on weight watchers 5 years ago. I’ve only ever had the different varieties of chocolate, though…hehe.

Vitatops are one of those things that I love and will purchase even though they are more expensive. I don’t eat them often, but when I do they are such a great treat!
