While flights to New York, Phillie, and DC were getting canceled, we were able to leave Logan without a hitch. After a quick layover in Orlando, we made it to Mexico!
The Cancun airport was overwhelming. So many taxi drivers and tour groups trying to chat with us and offer suggestions.
When Jared and I got to the Riu Caribe, there was an issue with our reservation. We were told to walk around for 30 minutes, eat and drink, and then come back to finish checking in.
For whatever reason, our reservation was lost and then found. But Jared and I received a 3 night upgrade to the Riu Palace Americas along with a free cab ride over. We’ll stay 3 nights at the Palace and then move back to the Caribe for our final 2 nights.
So after taking tons of pictures of the gorgeous hotel and lobby, I hit my new home away from home ready to take more photos.

I was so excited to finally get a Pina Colada!
Jared and I explored the Palace, grabbed a quick bite to eat in one of the cafes, and then did some people watching. There was a wedding going on so the guests and bridal party kept us entertained.
Now that I’m done blogging from the lobby (totally taking advantage of the free wifi), I think I’ll shower and get ready for dinner in our restaurant choice for the evening…some sort of international buffet.
If it’s any consolation to those in the cold and snow back home, it was overcast when we got to Cancun so we haven’t gone swimming yet!

I’m totally jealous of you right now! I trudged through piles of snow just to get to CVS today! Argh! Enjoy:) And have a fruity drink for me;)

How fun!! I love Cancun (especially when there aren’t a bunch of annoying drunken college people there). I hope today is NOT overcast, and you enjoy a nice dip in the beautiful pool and ocean! Wear that sunscreen, but first soak up as much vitamin D as possible!

I think I am going to a Body Pump class in Cambridge on Saturday so hopefully by the time we are both done with trips I will be an expert and can go with you haha
