I took a nap after running and woke up HUNGRY. Cheese tortellini was the easiest and fastest thing to make. Topped with olive oil and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.

Jared and I went to the House of Blues because we had tickets to see Flogging Molly! The HoB has a cool vibe; I loved the decor.

Frank Turner, a musician from England, was one of the opening acts. I first fell in love with his accent, and then with his music.

There was so much energy when Flogging Molly took the stage. A self-described merging of the music of Dublin and Los Angeles, Flogging Molly is awesome. I love the sound of the fiddle, mandolin, and banjo. They add fun to the songs!

Dave King is the band’s front man, playing the guitar and serving as the lead singer. Loved his silly dancing and marching across the stage. I was bouncing along to the music from start to finish. Celtic music has always been a favorite style of mine, and this was a perfect was to usher in March and St. Patrick’s Day.

After the show, we stopped at Cask ‘n’ Flagon for a quick dinner. The music was too loud, the food was ehhh, and I just wasn’t feeling it.

I’ve never been to House of Blues but it looks really cool. Pretty jealous of the Flogging Molly concert, looks awesome. Yeah Cask = eh on food, I’d rather go to Bertuccis in Kenmore haha
