I didn’t have a lot of time to spend at the gym yesterday. I used the treadmill for 20 minutes, running at 6.8 mph until I reached 2 miles and then walking for the remainder of the time. It wasn’t noticeable, but I did bump up the speed by 0.1 from the last time I did a quick 2 mile run. While I’m running short distances indoors, I’m looking to practice running faster and faster.
I stretched and used the foam roller, sat in the sauna for 5 minutes, and then cleaned up so I could go back to work.

I snacked on a Clementine and a kiwi. These fruits weren’t good in combination. The Clementine was so sweet that it ruined the taste of the kiwi for me.

I had to drive to my parents’ house directly from my office. I was starving when I got in so I tried a container of coconut and vanilla yogurt that my mom had been raving about. I thought the flavor really was delicious! Good find, Mom!

My mom and I went to a wake and then out to dinner. I wasn’t going to take pictures and blog about it because we knew my dad would be jealous. But then we remembered that he’s in Saratoga, going out to eat and having fun. Sorry Dad, love you!
We went to a local Italian restaurant called Vercelli’s. We both enjoyed salads before our meals arrived.

I ordered Chicken Bolognese: Chicken topped with breaded eggplant and mozzarella, served over fusilli pasta. It was yummy! I ate all of the pasta and 1/2 of the chicken pieces.

I wanted to ask my mom to make her famous blueberry muffins this morning, but I didn’t wake up early enough. I had to settle for a bowl of Special K with Red Berries. Since I love this cereal, I didn’t feel like I was suffering.

I found a bag of leftover biscuits when I was cleaning up after breakfast. I couldn’t resist popping one into the toaster oven and enjoying a little nibble. Mmmm!
Since I’m only staying in Blackstone until early this evening, I have to get moving and get a few things done. I want to look for some of my nutrition books that are in the basement, find summer clothes to pack for Cancun (some of you were curious why I’m going there: Just for a vacation! Jared and I are getting away to celebrate Valentine’s Day), go to the Wrentham Village outlets with my mom, and try to squeeze in a run on the treadmill.
Happy Saturday!

I do the same thing on the treadmill! If I have to run indoors, I like to really see what I can do
I used to eat a bowl of plain Special K every day for a few years and I made myself sick of it! But the flavored ones look great, I’ll have to give them a try!

Nice that you got to enjoy a little time with your parents, even if it was a quick visit.
