I spent most of the day cleaning the apartment. I hate when it’s messy and people are coming to visit. By 5:30, I was famished so I made a salad that was chock full of vegetables.
I often get cravings for fresh crisp vegetables. Sometimes I wonder if I’m just dehydrated and I’m craving the water from a piece of lettuce. Hmmm.
A little bit closer… There’s lettuce, cucumbers, corn, baby carrots, shredded cheddar cheese, and vinaigrette dressing.
It took almost 2 hours to build our “TV” stand. Even though it’s not for the TV, the cable boxes are off of the floor and the wires are hidden. It looks SO much better than before. I really want my apartment to feel like a home and not like a storage facility with piles of boxes and junk.
Mark, Maggie, Drew, Nicki, and Hoagie the Yorkshire Terrier arrived around 8 to watch the Eagles/Cowboys game. Everyone brought food, but Mark went all out with his homemade guac dip and an unpictured dish of chicken and naan. He made me look bad; I was just popped a few bags of popcorn. Haha.
The game didn’t go very well for Drew and Mark’s beloved Eagles so we gave up watching. It was more fun just hanging out, talking & laughing, and watching old school music videos on YouTube.
I feel a little bit guilty that I didn’t make time for a workout on Saturday. But I was moving around most of the day so that makes me feel slightly better. I didn’t skip the gym to lounge on the couch!

The TV stand looks great and I’m sure it’s relief to have all of that stuff organized nicely!
Yea, not such a great game for the Eagles (though as a Steelers fan I was bound to be pleased if either team lost
)

Is the TV stand from Ikea – we have a very similar one except the doors are glass!?!
I also was glad to buy the tv stand – our TV area was a bit out of control.
We are trying to buy furniture slowly so it doesn’t look like we live in a college dorm!
