Body Pumpin’

I set my alarm for 5:15 am so I could snooze twice before I absolutely HAD to get up and get out the door for the 6 am Body Pump class at the back Bay HealthWorks.

I said hi to Patricia and started setting up my mat, weights, and bench.  Looked to my right and saw Ali setting up her stuff too.  Yay! :)

I’d never taken a class with this instructor, Sara, but Ali said she was really energetic…and she was great!  I’m not a morning person so I needed someone bright and cheerful to get me through the workout.  We did a mix of Body Pump 67 and 72 so there were a few new songs.  I’m kinda starting to feel under the weather so I kept the weights light.  That didn’t matter because I still felt my muscles working extra hard.  I love the ab work from 72 with those killer plank walks.

I walked home, had a snack, and relaxed for 30 minutes before getting ready for work.  I had caught a  few glimpses of myself in the mirror at BP and was shocked by how sickly pale I looked.  I used some “natural glow” lotion when I got out of the shower as a remedy to that scary situation!

When I got to work, I had a cup of Peach Chobani.

002

I sprinkled a mix of nuts and berries for some added “Nut-rition”.

(Note: Planter’s Nut-rician was a Christmas gift.  Santa left this in my stocking, but today was my first time trying it.  Good purchase; thanks Mom!)

003

Clementine, all ready to be eaten.  I’m hoping the Vitamin C will kick this cold before it really starts.

004

Lunch was leftover pasta.  Mehhh.  This was lacking in flavor.

I thought nut-trition was your joke, you should’ve taken credit for it. It was funny!

My dad goes through a can of the Nut-ritian every couple of days. I steal some whenever I’m home and it’s delicious!

Early morning workouts are the best…you always feel so accomplished after!

Awesome job getting up so early for Body Pump – I wish I belonged to a gym – with Body Pump. Sounds like a great class!

Go to sleep early today and get some OJ – hopefully you don’t get sick!

Body Pump. Can’t say enough good things about it! (Although it kicks my butt EVERY time.)
