A Blog Dedicated to Living a Healthy Lifestyle

That’s Souper-duper

I wish I could tell you that I learned a valuable lesson about how lucky I am to have heat most of the time.  So many people have to struggle to heat their homes through the winter.   And while that truly is a terrible thing, no I did not learn anything.  Last night and this morning, I was mostly just cold and cranky.

I shut myself in the bedroom with the space heater around 10 pm and spent 30 minutes cleaning.  Once I was in bed, there was no way I was going to crawl out from under the warm covers.  I stayed in bed until 7:50 this morning.  Any later and I would’ve been late for work!  The apartment was SO cold.  My hands were numb before I even got outside.  Yuck!

Jared is reporting that the heater is now semi-fixed.  The repairman needs to get another part, but he was able to turn it back on in the meantime.  It might shut off again so I told Jared to turn it as high as he can to get the place as warm as possible before we lose it again.  Tomorrow is supposed to be cold and rainy in Boston so I really hope everything is ok.

This random photo uploaded this morning.  I didn’t take it so I wonder who did…  Someone (cough cough Jared cough cough) decided to let Miles play with his empty bag of dog food last night.  Miles is obsessed with shredding paper.  He works very carefully to rip our junk mail into tiny little pieces.

Since it was too cold to eat at home, I saved breakfast for when I got to work.  I had a cup of vanilla Chobani mixed with trail mix and and the last of my Jungle Banana PB Loco sample.

I had leftover soup for lunch.  Nothing special, but it hit the spot.

*December Meetup Reminder*

Just a reminder that there’s going to be a healthy living meetup on December 19th at 7pm.  We’ll be meeting at the statue in front of Faneuil Hall, across the street from the stairs to the Government Center T stop.  The plan is to look at Christmas decorations and find somewhere to get our eat (and drink) on!  Hope to see you there!  E-mail me with any questions.

Melissa: You should adopt Annie from the MSPCA and then we can have Corgi Play Dates. LOL. And you know…we do have 2 friends that live a few blocks away. Not sure why we didn’t ask to stay with either of them last night. Serious lack of common sense!

Sorry about your heat:( I think I’ve been so spoiled in life that I would have checked myself into a hotel by now and waited until they fixed the heat:) Obviously, not a rational decision:)

Have a great rest of the work day!
