Even before my alarm went off, I was curled in the fetal position, trying to get this weird nauseous feeling to pass. I got up to shower and shake it off, and ended up getting sick. No details…but I’m sure some of you know that’s not pleasant on an empty stomach. I still felt lousy after showering so I crawled back in bed.
Luckily my job allows me to get work done from home. I sent a quick e-mail to my supervisor and coworker before curling back into a ball.

Jared made some toast with jam for me to nibble on. He thought it was so funny when I pathetically asked if he could bring my camera over to the bed.
Once the house was quiet, I relaxed in bed with my eyes closed. I don’t think I ever fell back into a restful sleep, but before I knew it, it was noon.
My head/stomach still felt odd when I got up to walk around. I decided a little bit more food might be helpful.

Back in bed with another Chobani and trail mix blend, this time with the final spoonful of my PB Loco Raspberry White Chocolate sample.
I am slowly starting to feel back to normal…we’ll see what happens when I get up and walk around again. I feel like this weird stomach thing has been happening more often lately. I never used to barf when I was in HS/college. Now, every 5 or 6 months, I wake up feeling like this and get sick. So strange!
At least I feel like I’m getting better. I feel so bad for everyone who’s gotten the flu cuz it takes them such a long time to recover!

Oh no! I hope it’s just a one day thing and it passes quickly. Do you think it could be from the sauna? Maybe you’re dehydrated from it.
Chobani always lifts my spirits
Get well soon!

Feel better! There is nothing worse then having tummy issues – I would rather have a cold any day.
Like Melissa said – make sure you stay hydrated!

Melissa: Hmm, I’d like to believe it wasn’t the sauna! It’s one of my fav places to relax. Plus I drink SO many glasses of water when I’m sitting at my desk at work. I have pee a lot each day so dehydration doesn’t seem possible. LOL.

Hope you feel better soon!! The flu definitely kicked my butt earlier this year, but at least with the swine flu/seasonal flu, you don’t really puke! There’s nothing worse than nausea in my opinion! Get some rest:)

Feel better. What I suggest is taking some over the counter meclazine, and if dizziness comes with the sick feeling take some non drowsy dramamine too. I always have meclazine here for nausea since I occassionally get vertigo.

That definitely happens to me sometimes too. Not the actual getting sick, but definitely feeling yucky, nauseous, all that stuff. Hopefully it’s just a bug and goes away but if it’s been happening more frequently, you might want to get it checked out? As the daughter of a nurse practitioner, I have no authority to diagnose you, but it’s better to be safe! Feel better!
