Before race time, I carbo loaded with leftovers from dinner last night.

Jared and I ran in the Bill Rodger’s Jingle Bell Run. The 2.5 mile Fun Run started in Faneuil Hall. It was raining so I didn’t have a fun holiday costume. But I did wear the bells that each contestant received. I fastened mine to my sneakers so I jingled and jangled with each step.

Happy Holidays in Quincy Market!

Full of cheer and ready to run.

We ran from Faneuil Hall to the Boston Common, circled the Common, and then headed back to Faneuil by way of Downtown Crossing. We crossed the finish line with a view of this amazing tree.

After a fun workout, all of the runners were treated to a beer at Ned Divine’s. This Miller draft wasn’t that bad, and only 64 calories. There was a buffet with chili, mac and cheese, and corn bread. I tried a bite of the mac and cheese: lousy! So I just had one piece of corn bread.

I love decorations and lights. They make me smile!

The walk/T ride/walk home was miserable because it was raining even harder and my feet were soaked. After changing into dry clothes, I was ready for dinner. A toaster oven cheese quesadilla topped with salsa was perfect for getting rid of my hunger and helping me warm up.

They day has turned so yucky out – too bad the run wasn’t this morning.
I bet the lights were gorgeous – can’t wait to see them next weekend!
