House of Siam

I was much more comfortable in Friday’s work outfit.  I normally change as soon as I get home from the office, usually into sweats, but I kept this on for most of the evening.

I went back on the bike at the gym today so I could read more of New Moon.  I also used the foam roller and stretched my hips.  So much for planning my workouts this week; I didn’t stick to the schedule at all!  I guess that excusable since I’m sucked in to a cheesy young adult novel.

Cookie Friday doesn’t count when your cookie tastes kinda crappy.  But this one was leftover from the free food at lunchtime and it raised my blood sugar so I could finish off the workday.

Jared and I went across the street to have dinner at the House of Siam.  We split a bottle of Malbec.  Interesting note:  We didn’t finish the bottle so we asked for the cork and a paper bag so we could bring the bottle home.  Not all restaurants are willing to do this, but the guys at the House of Siam were very accommodating.  We have 1/2 of the bottle to enjoy this weekend.

I ordered Chicken Pad Thai.

The flower garnish reminded me of our trip to France:  Our friend Zach cooked dinner every night that we stayed at the house in Chadurie.  He’s really into cooking and he went all out for every meal.  He found some flowers in the backyard that he deemed edible and added them to our salads for a peppery flavor.  I ate a few and they were pretty good.  (I didn’t eat the House of Siam flower though!)

I spent the rest of my evening writing my book review for Examiner.com.  Considering the review was due by 12/4, I was just a little bit (ok, a lot bit) at the last minute getting it done.  I’m not overly thrilled with the way it turned out.  Not my best writing and it’s cheesy.  I’d love to make some major edits if I have time this weekend!

I’ve seen House Of Siam on Phantom Gourmet. It looks good and I’m glad you got to take your wine to go. I hope you drank out of the paper bag while walking home :)

Sorry the cookie wasn’t great:( There’s nothing worse than thinking you’re biting into a yummy treat and finding it to be only OK! It looks like dinner made up for it, though!

haha I’ve seen that place on The Phantom too. The show is so terrible but I can’t not watch it.

2 thumbs up for wine to go, gotta love it!

I love how the Twilight series is for young adults, yet I have a hard time pronouncing some words :/
