What You’ll Need:
- “Glue” icing (5 tablespoons of confectionery sugar and 1 1/2 teaspoons of water)
- Anna’s Ginger Things
- Murray Shortbread Cookies (this brand is important because the cookies have a hole in the middle)
- Pirouette cookies
- Mini marshmallows
- Betty Crocker Easy Flow Decorating Icing
- Food Coloring
- White Decorating Gel
- Colored Crystals
What To Do:
- Glue the ginger and shortbread cookies together
- Glue the pirouette cookie to the shortbread cookie
- Squirt icing around the shortbread cookie base using the star tip
- Cut marshmallows in half on a diagonal
- Dye the marshmallows orange using yellow and red food coloring
- Glue the marshmallows to the tops of the pirouette cookies
- Drip white decorating gel from the marshmallow to look like melting wax
- Sprinkle crystals on the icing base
(Sorry for the crappy lighting in the video! It’s my first time making a video blog)

Heather: I don’t think the entire project took more than 2 hours. It felt like I was doing an art project rather than something food related.

LOVE the video! You’re so festive:) I may try my hand at making those if I have time….although my mom has me on tap to bake about 8 different kinds of cookies over the next week so we’ll see! Only 9 more days!!!
