Jared made turkey sandwiches so that we wouldn’t have to order food at Whiskeys.
I didn’t take any pictures when we got there because there were too many people who don’t know about my blog. We were meeting friends at Whiskeys because our buddy Pailes was back in town. When we were in France over the summer, a group of us stayed in an old Knights Templar house for a week. It was a great bonding experience being forced to stay in such close quarters with a large group of people and a lot of wine!
One of many fond memories of Pailes was when he decided to light a bonfire…barefoot….while swigging from a bottle of Red Bull and rum. Yikes! Luckily everything turned out ok and we didn’t have to attempt to call a French ambulance.

After a few appetizers and a lot of rounds of beer (not for me, I only have 2 Blue Moons), we took a cab to Brigham Circle to go to the Squealing Pig to listen to live music and sing along. I ordered a glass of Malbec when we got to the Pig.

I loved the blue lights along the ceiling, and the older man who performed was really fun. He interacted with the crowd, knew Pailes by name, and sang a lot of tunes that we all knew.

The guys got really into it!
Jared ordered a plate of fries. They weren’t as good as the ones form Deep Ellum, but after a light dinner and a lot of drinks, they hit the spot.

And the Man of the Hour had a great time too! Jared and I left fairly early and took a cab home. I was really angry when the cab driver got mad and swore at us because his cab’s credit card machine malfunctioned. All Boston cabs are required to take credit cards, but the cabbies try to make this as difficult as possible. I guess they prefer cash tips.
But one crabby cabbie didn’t ruin a great night!

Looks like you had a great time! I love the food there.
Boston cabbies are the worst. I’ll do anything to avoid having to take a cab in the city…almost anything.
