First Facial

DSC03897

I heated up the last of my Mom’s homemade blueberry muffins and ate it before leaving for the spa.  I had an appointment at 9:15 am for my first facial ever.

I’m halfway through the package Jared bought for my birthday.  When I went for my 1st treatment, I thought I was a little bit gypped, but today the girl doing my facial went above and beyond.  My appointment was supposed to last 45 minutes but it ended up taking just over an hour.  My face was washed, exfoliated, washed again, and then it was time for the dreaded extractions.  Such a fancy way to say that every possible pore was squeezed and popped.  So painful!  Then I let a mask sit on my skin for 15 minutes.  After receiving some hydrating lotion, my facial came to an end.  I noticed the difference right away.  My skin looked great!

I needed new face wash anyway, so I was easily persuaded to try out a bottle of the stuff that had been used earlier in the appointment.

I made the same sandwich as yesterday because I loved it THAT much: Arnold Thins, chicken, celery, and vegetable hummus.

Jared, Miles, and I all decided we needed a little down time.  While 2 of us chose to sleep in beds, Miles chose to curl up on my bathrobe.

We canceled our dinner reservation at Ten Tables because my parents and brother are coming to Boston tonight.  We’re going to meet them for dinner at Piattini instead.  I love that restaurant!  I’ve been browsing the menu and I can’t wait for a glass of wine and an amazing pasta dish.

Haha, the only “facial” I’ve had was squeezing at my pimples! Needless to say, that only concluded with disastrous results. It’s nice to pamper yourself once in a while, though!

Hi there! Thanks for visiting my blog! I’m happy to “meet” another Boston blogger! I wish I could meet you in person on the 7th, but my husband and I have had plans with friends for months to see a comedy show that night. Bad timing! But I’ll keep reading and I look forward to getting to know you better.

I went to BC and love it there. Sounds like a great job!

And last…you dog is so cute. My kitties do the same thing. They have lots of comfy beds to sleep in, but they alway choose something else…the clean laundry, the kitchen table…
